Arch: On the second day of Easter in Aliveri, the custom of the arch is revived. After the vespers of love held in the Panagitsa church, the residents of Aliveri, wearing a red carnation in their lapels, gather in the courtyard of the church of Agios Georgios. There begins a cheerful Lambriatic dance led by the master, the most vocal of the group. The master sings each couplet and then the others repeat in dance. The custom of the arch, which dates from around 1850, is related to the legend of the bridge of Arta, as the song sung by the proto-dancer-master accompanied by the improvised choir is none other than the folk song "Tis Arta the bridge". The custom has its roots in the period of the construction of the church of Agios Georgios by Epirote masons, who danced the song in question on the day of the completion of the church or according to other sources they often sang it during their work.
